"One with Everything"

I remember hearing a line from the movie Adaptation that really struck me." We are who we love." That is really the origin for this project. I wanted to write and record material that was inspired by those great musicians that I have always loved. And then, I was able to get many of the musicians that I've always loved playing with to come join me on the project; a true labor of love.

I *Love* Herbie Hancock and Bob James, Freddie Hubbard and Jobim, Earth Wind and Fire and Bill Evans, The Crusaders and all the great artists of CTI. I loved Dori Caymmi anyway, but also (through my old friend Arnold McCuller) for helping to facilitate a lyric on Essa Saudade from one of the great brazilian lyricists of all time; Paolo Cesar Pinheiro.

and all of my beautiful, and greatly talented friends: Mike Clinco, Bob Feldman, Sergio Gonzalez,Oliver Leiber, Donald Doyle, Steve Schaeffer, Michael Thompson, Randy Jacobs, Jesse Campbell, P.C.
